Miami Postal Employee Finds Wandering Toddler
Miami FL — A Miami family is grateful to postal employee Mark McKinney, credited with securing the safety of a toddler, who wearing only a diaper, escaped through a living room window and roamed the streets of southwest Miami-Dade County on Monday.
McKinney is a custodian at Miami’s Quail Heights Post Office located at 10360 SW 186 Street. On Monday, November 10, he left the Post Office to repair a lock for a customer and spotted the toddler walking in the vicinity of SW 109 Avenue and SW 182 Street.
"I wanted him to get back in the arms of his parents because I know, as a father, I would want my child close by my side," said McKinney.
The toddler’s father thought his son was with his wife who was running errands in the area.
